HTA Receives $10,000 Donation for Centennial Courts Walkway and Viewing Area!
Lisa Lindenberg, a 30-year Haddonfield resident and parent of state champion girls’ tennis player Christine (2004-2007), has made a generous donation to HTA. Lisa’s donation will fund a walkway and seating area behind the courts so that parents and spectators can watch matches. The work is being coordinated with the Borough of Haddonfield to also improve the drainage and mud-slide problems behind the courts. Knolltop Nursery owner Al Masullo (also the parent of two champion tennis players - Laura and Cara) will direct the work and donate in-kind services.
Borough of Haddonfield Assists HTA with Walkway / Viewing Area Project:
As you probably have seen, the vines, trees and poison ivy had totally taken over the courts so that there was no access to the area behind the courts. The Borough Department of Public Works has taken the important, initial steps in the walkway project and has done a tremendous job clearing and leveling the area (see photos on HTA web site). Take a ride to the courts to see the tremendous improvements.
American Discount Fence Donates 3 New Gate Entrances to Centennial Courts:
With the new viewing area behind the courts, HTA will install three entrance gates along the walkway so that players can access directly onto a court. (Currently there is only one gate which means players must cross and disrupt up to four matches to get to a court.). American Discount Fence, a local, family-owned business has graciously agreed to install the three new gates as a donation to the Haddonfield Tennis Association.
Thank You!
