To HMHS & Borough of Haddonfield,
As mentioned, the
slippery conditions at Centennial Tennis Courts are potentially
dangerous. Haddonfield Tennis Association had a company do a
“test clean” on Friday to remove the slippery sediment that has
accumulated on all five tennis courts over the years. The test
went extremely well. Here are some details:
-
The attached picture illustrates the “before/after” results.

-
The company “Gale Force - Soda Blastina” uses a low-pressure
technique mixed with (environmentally-friendly) baking soda.
-
Successful tests were done in the most slippery rear of the court
and a test in the green doubles alley on Court 1.
-
Gale Force also tested two cleaning techniques with a cleaning agent
& scrubbing. These processes were not preferred and were also
less successful.
ACTION:
-
We need to clean these courts ASAP as the High School girls tennis
has begun their season.
-
We will receive an estimate from Gale Force this week.
-
DOES ANYONE have a second company we might get an estimate from?
-
I can meet to discuss how this is paid for.
CLUB HOUSE FACILITIES
The lock on the Men's Room Door has been changed so that the
original key opens both doors to the rest rooms. In the men's
room, the damaged
area in ceiling was repaired but the screen covering the ceiling fan
needs to be re-fasten.
